Cymbidium is a genus of 52 evergreen species in the orchid family Orchidaceae.
They are native throughout tropical and subtropical Asia such as China, Malaysia and Japan.
The Cymbidium orchids are normally grown to a height of 60 cm (24 inches). Each flower has a diameter of 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches).
The range of colors includes white, green, yellow, cream, pink brown and red.
Taking care of Cymbidium orchids
Like the Phalaenopsis orchids the Cymbidium is not easy to take care of.

Depending on the conditions watering should only be done twice a week and only in the edges. If you live in the North, they need 70 % shade, and there should not be more than 20 degrees between night and day.
